Code of Conduct Summary: Article I

We want this to be the one of the premier guilds on the server, one that we can all be proud to be a part of. Moreover, we want this to be a guild others would be proud to be part of. We don’t want to hold ourselves to the baseline standards other people or guilds set, but to our own high standards. It is not enough that we live by the Code of Conduct set by ToR, that is a bare minimum standard everyone must adhere to. Rather, we want to be known across the server for our courtesy, our decency, and our fairness, in addition to the skills of our many talented players.

We are planning to offer our services for hire, so it is especially important that we hold ourselves to the highest standards of conduct. Today’s enemy could very well be tomorrow’s customer. Act accordingly.

Every good act by every member reflects on our guild; that is doubly so of any bad act. A key distinction for being part of ROM: We are not just responsible for our own, individual actions, but for the actions of our guild mates. It is not enough that we follow our guild’s Code of Conduct individually, but we have an obligation to ensure our guild mates follow this Code of Conduct, as well. If one of us steps out of line, that person needs to be told by his or her guild mates. If the person persists in conduct unbecoming of the guild, it should be raised immediately to one of the Officers or Leaders of the guild.

We expect all members to be respectful of others and to contribute to an atmosphere of fun game play at all times, regardless of alliance to The Sith Empire or Galactic Republic.

It might take time, but holding ourselves to these standards will ensure us a place in the upper echelons of guilds on this server and in ToR in general. Holding ourselves and our members to these standards will help our recruiting in a big way. A good attitude is worth far more than great skills. The skills will come.

Members who violate these rules or otherwise embarrass themselves or the guild will be disciplined. Discipline will range from admonishment, to probation, to demotion, to ejection from the guild, depending on the severity of the infraction and the member’s prior behavior. No one wants to drop a member from the guild, but each member’s actions reflect on the guild, and the guild will not tolerate those who repeatedly subject the guild to negative scrutiny. You will be brought before a Court-Martial board of your Commanding Officer's to have your "case" heard.

Remember the guild motto: To Fight for Those Who Cannot. We are Champions on behalf of others. Go forth, be noble, fight well and bravely.

Rules and Regulations: Article II

1. Respect. Always show respect to every player of the game no matter what they may say or do to you.

2. Honor. You must maintain a high regard to self-esteem as well as have pride for the guild. If you ever find your self without pride in the guild then it is probably time to either make a formal complaint or leave the guild on good terms.

3. Loyalty. Stand with your guild on all matters.

4. Follow the Lawful orders of the guild's Chain of Command.

5. You must help other guild members when you can. No brainer but must be said.

6. We play as Mandalorian Mercenaries, not as Republic or Sith, when you join ROM forget about faction because we are our own faction.

7. Role playing is not something you have to do in the guild, but it is always welcome.

8. Becoming an Officer of ROM. An email will be sent out, or something posted on our forums when we are recruiting for a new Officer. You will need to send in an application, in the form of an email to Kymerous and Atirce stating why you want the job, and your qualifications. Vets will of course get an edge on such openings, but we will promote a newer member over an older member if all we get is newer members applying.

9. Dual-guilding is not something we allow. We expect you to remain loyal to ROM with all of your toons.

10. PvP is allowed but with strict terms see PvP rules.

11. The Enforcer effect. Our guild enforcer is a very nice person and loves to help out every member in the guild when able. But know and understand this, an ENFORCER will come down very hard on any member who does not act like a ROM guild member should and if this happens to you please do not take it personally, it is both the job and a role playing style, to keep our guild members on there toes and to make sure they are doing the right thing.

12. ROM has a open door policy meaning any member may talk to or send an email about anything they wish to any Officer, but to keep down on emails and tells try to work things out with your Chain of Command first.

13. Court Martials. A Court Martial is what happens to a member who breaks our rules and regulations. Your Chain of Command as well as the Generals will attend and decide on what action to take.

14. Officer Court Martials. Any Officer whom is Court Martialed will be done so by the Generals of ROM.

15. No warning for a removal from the guild may happen in a few ways. If you are spamming guild chat or spatial chat and are asked to stop but do not. If you are seen acting unlike a ROM guild member in a public place. If you have been reported as trying to disgrace the guild or steal guild items/resources (proof of this is a must have) IE. Screen shots of person saying so or emails sent by such a Member. If you are removed from the guild in a way you think is unlawful send Kymerous an email stating all information and he will get back to you ASAP.

16. Guild email is restricted to ROM Officers. Should you wish a mail to be sent to the entire guild, send it to an Officer and ask them to forward it for you.

17. Posting on the forums. No ROM member should respond to anything said bad about us on the forums leave that to the Officers of the guild.

18. We all must Police our guild which means to put a stop to abuse of the guild chat or stopping a fellow guild member from doing something that could get them into trouble. Every member can give a order to stop spamming or plain disturbing others in guild chat.

19. No fighting fellow guild members. To include faction against faction as in if you are with your non-guild friend’s and they see a guild member of opposite faction and attack them you will not assist them or cause any harm to your guild mate (see PvP article for more info) If you have a problem with a fellow guild member, contact your assigned Commanding Officer.

20. No taunting or gloating. Nothing lowers opinions of a guild faster than seeing people taunt or gloat over kills. You know if you’ve done something impressive or good. It’s expected: You’re part of ROM. There’s no reason to tell everybody else, especially the vanquished.

21. No trash talking. This is similar to the above. Let others talk, let yourself be a person of action whose deeds say all there is to say.

22. Do not troll, hi-jack, or flame threads on our forums or the ToR forums, this makes us look bad.

23. No harassing other players. We are about contributing to the fun of the game and having fun ourselves, harassing other players verbally or otherwise is not part of that, and such infractions will be dealt with harshly, especially if the harassment is sexual in nature.

24. No cheating. Cheaters suck. They make the game less fun for everyone. Exploiting known holes in the game is lame, and gives the guild a bad reputation. Those who are found to violate this rule, will get booted from the guild.

25. Be respectful. Treat people with the respect you want to be treated with, even if you sometimes are not extended the same courtesy. Be above the petty stuff, you and ROM will be better for it in the end. Congratulate your enemies on their successes, don’t curse them. You’ll get them next time. In a guild of warriors, warriors sometimes fall. A noble death is better than a shameful one.

26. Don’t retaliate. We’re not everyone else. We’re ROM, paid and volunteer champions. That someone else behaves badly gives us no excuse to do the same. Walk away, even if that’s what it takes to remain civil. XYZ person did something is no excuse for anything we do. XYZ guild’s practices are no excuse for anything we do as a guild. We ourselves determine who we are and how we act.

27. No abusive language is to be used at any time. This includes, Trash Talking (as noted above), Swearing, Derogatory Statements, Over Agressiveness, Sexual Content, Racial Slurs etc... ROM accepts all ages, sexes, races and heritages into the fold, if you have any personal problems with such keep them in check or perhaps re-think your membership with us.

28. We may add to or remove any rules or regulations on a moments notice. A guild wide mail will be sent out to inform you of this however.

Now that being said please understand that we are a strict guild and hard to be apart of, especially if you do not play well with others.

Guild Hunt Rules: Article III

1. All Loot gained on a Sanctioned Guild Hunt belongs to the guild. The items will be sold to help pay for the guild, and/or handed back out to the guild members.

2. Only one person loots during the Guild Hunt, unless otherwise stated, this will be the Captain. If he/she should choose someone else, then that person will turn over all looted items to the Captain at the end of the hunt.

3. The Hunt Leader will be in charge of giving out tactical orders on how to fight. Meaning where to place our melee men, and our ranged men, and who is pulling the mob to the group. Make sure to follow these orders, and keep in mind that an Officer may not be to keen on how tactics work. So if you've a suggestion please send it to them via private message. We want to look like a well-oiled machine, not a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off.

4. All responses to the Officer's orders shall be followed by a yes Sir/Ma'am or no Sir/Ma'am. This may sound like a dumb thing to most, but think of how it sounds to others around us when we show that kind of respect.

PvP Rules and Regulations: Article IV

Player vs. Player or PVP Rules, ROM members may PvP but must follow set rules on how to do so.

1. Respect all others at all times, never taunt or belittle others even if they do so to you first.

2. Dueling is allowed, but do so with respect. Do not brag if you win and do not taunt if you lose, make sure to congratulate the other person no matter what happens. Dueling to the death with fellow ROM members is ONLY allowed if agreed upon by both members.

3. ROM may run BH missions, killing Jedi. This is a mercenary function of the game, and we will use it as such, however, some Jedi will be protected by ROM upon request. Make sure not to kill ROM Jedi, unless agreed upon by that member.
